In just 8 days...

I will be a full time mother of 7 again.. School is out in 8 days and for the first time in a long time I am not dreading being a full time momma... Don't get me wrong, I am always a full time mom, but not of 7 because 4 of the kids are in school from 9-3:45. So I am only with the boys a majority of the day and then the kids get home do their homework, eat and then it is usually bed time.. And I used to dread the kids being out of school. But not this year!
We will be out camping so much this summer and enjoying life together and I am over the moon about it! I can't wait to just sit with the kids around a campfire and sing songs and read scriptures. To hear about their adventures. It is just going to be awesome!

Helam is feeling better thank goodness. I was really starting to wonder if I was going to survive and I'm not the one in pain. The last week has been a real challenge for me. It breaks my heart that he has been so sick and really I just wanted to crawl in a hole.. Luckily he is doing better, and is doing better each day. (as I write this, I hear him crying upstairs.. uuuugggghhhh)

On Wednesday of this week I took Samantha in for her Jr. High school check up. FIRST OFF let me just say that I feel OLD! How in the world do I have a child that is going to be in Jr. High? That is just crazy to me..
She is growing like a weed.. She weighs 93.8 pounds.. (she is really going to kill me for writing this) and is 5 ft 3 inches tall. That is only 3 inches shorter than me!?! WHAT THE CRAP? I knew I was going to be a short mom.... Our Dr. said that she is right on mark and looks really good.. So that is good to hear. It is funny to take Samantha to the DR because I am not used to having to deal with the big kid stuff at the docs.. I am a pro when it comes to taking the little ones, but MAN o MAN taking tweens is uncharted territory for me. :)

This is life! Crazy, eventful, scary and most of all a blessing! Now I am off to change a poopy diaper and listen to the boys fight over who is going to be Indiana Jones... dun, dun, duuunnn!

My personal hell

I have been debating on whether or not to blog about this, and well I have decided that because I don't write in my journal like I should then I need to blog so I have a record of this!

When I was 23 I had this boyfriend. I really liked him alot. And at the time I thought that I "loved" him. Come to find out, YEAH not so much! Anyways, he was a carrier of cold sores. No biggie. At least I thought!

At about 24 after we had broken up I started to get these little sores in my mouth. I thought they were cankers. The next week I had them all over my gums, inside of my cheeks and all over my tongue. YIKES! These hurt like HELL! And during that time in my life I am sure I used far worse words then hell... After about two weeks of gargling with lidocane and doing everything I could to get them to calm down, they left. And I was left with the dreaded cold sore..

El already had cold sores when we were married and I so I thought good, I won't pass them onto him. Then I had Emer and she to this day hasn't gotten them! (lets hope that sticks!) Then when Korban was about 3 months old, he got a huge outbreak. But because he was so young, he was really easy to deal with and they went away pretty quickly. The unfortunate side of his, is he gets them all of the time now. And Gannon hasn't gotten them yet.

This brings me to present day. Helam has a full blown (even worse than mine) case of them. He has them on his lips, tongue, gums and inside of his cheeks. I noticed something weird on Saturday morning when he was screaming at me. Because the screaming wasn't ending I knew something was wrong so I took him into the doctor. She confirmed my worse fears. He has an outbreak. She told me it would be about a week til he started to feel better and anther week for them to go away.

Sleep isn't Helams friend with these and hence I am in my own personal hell! I feel so guilty for being the cause of this.. (why did I ever kiss that boy?) Now he will have to bear this burden for the rest of his life, like Korban will have to. I try so hard to make sure that when Korban or I have one that we steer clear of the other kids, but what can you do?

I am praying that Helam will start to feel better soon. That his eating and drinking will get back to normal and that we will be sleeping and he will be a happy boys soon!

flying....

How is it already May 1st? It seems like yesterday I was cursing winter and ready to move to Florida.. O WAIT!, it still is winter... BLAH and BLUK!
I have so much to catch up on it isn't funny... The thing about blogging is, if you don't do it everyday or each day an event happens then it is sooo hard.. Needless to say, I am feeling so overwhelmed!
First, Gannon had his birthday. It was a great day for him.. His birthday fell on a Sunday and it was so cute in closing exercises because they called his name to have him go up to be sung to and he was so excited.. He jumped up and down shouting "it's my birthday! it's my birthday!" We had a fun little BBQ with my side of the family.
I think that Gannon had a great 4th Birthday! He is really into LEGO anything. So he got some LEGO Ben10 toys and he also got a LEGO Prince of Persia set. I think that was his favorite. He also got clothes. I'm not sure he liked them very much, because he kept trying to give them to my nephew Breck...

On Wednesday April 28th Morgan and Kylah had a field trip to Antelope Island. We were all praying for good weather. The morning of it was a blizzard. I was not looking forward to the field trip in the snow, but I am so very glad that I went! The weather on the Island was perfect, well except for the crazy wind. But other than that you really couldn't ask for anything better. The sun was shining and it was warm. Well warmer than SLC..

Me and my girls!

It was so windy when I took this picture.. Can you tell?

I love this picture! Isn't it so cool!

It was a fun trip and I am glad I went! I had never been to Antelope Island before and I really enjoyed it! If you haven't made the trip, do! They have a tun of buffalo and antelope on the island and best of all, it didn't stink like you expect the Great Salt Lake to stink!

I really have more to say, but can't at the moment because the baby is fussing.. He isn't feeling to well.. SO, hopefully I will be able to update tomorrow!
